This is a private and intimate session meaning only your party will be present for the day and time you book your experience. If you have a party of 2+ and everyone is paying separately, please go ahead and book 'Experience for 2'. This will serve as a deposit to hold the time slot, and your additional guests will need to pay at door or through invoicing.
Sankofa Essentials welcomes all guests to a warm and peaceful night out at our intimate candle studio in Downtown Atlanta. Not only will guests get to explore their creative selves as they make custom candles that speak to the soul, but we’ll also get more in tune with self by setting intentions, sharing lessons learned in life and engaging in conversation.
This will be a fun and culturally themed experience. You will learn a little about the owner and Sankofa’s mission, take home a handmade candle that you can cherish and hopefully learn something new about yourself. 
Candles must be picked up at a later date and time using a link provided after class OR shipped to a location of your choice for $15 OR you can wait at our sister business The Sober Social and mingle while candles harden.

-wine (2 complimentary drinks per person)
-a memorable experience

There is free parking onsite!
Feel free to bring your own bottle, snacks and/or game ideas. You are in for a real treat. Prepare to get waxed!
Please note: You are booking a private experience. If more than 10 guests, please go ahead and book the 'Experience for 10' for the day and time you are interested in. Send an email after booking and we will arrange for the payment for additional guests.

Such a vibe!

We had an amazing time. The whole experience was such a vibe. The food was great and I recommend everyone book with Sankofa Essentials. She has really set herself apart from other candle making events. We focused on intentions and we all enjoyed it so much.

A Beautiful, Fun & Memorable Experience!

In search of something to do for our wedding anniversary, I came across Sankofa Essentials' Candle Making class. I'm so grateful I found them! It was such a wonderful experience! Our instructor was knowledgeable & patient with us. Our finished product came out amazing. Now I'm trying to get all my friends together so they can experience it too!

Amazing!!

Lea is so knowledgeable and really made this experience so awesome for us! She is such a professional and you can feel her passion as she is teaching you how to make your candle! Everything was such a vibe, and when I say her candles smell AMAZING, i mean they are anazing!! I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

Amazing Experience!! Bomb vibes!

I came here with my friends and we had a bomb time! I absolutely love and enjoyed myself in this place. Awesome hostess. Very knowledgeable. The place was serene, inspirational, and uplifting. I will definitely be visiting again. If you haven't done this, you should. And if you have done candle making, but it wasn't here, come to this spot for the next candle making experience. You will not be disappointed.🥰
